Q: What are Admin Maven's business hours? A: Admin Maven's regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM, EST. Q: Is Admin Maven available for work on holidays? A: Admin Maven is closed on some holidays. If the holiday you need assistance is not listed here as a closure, Admin Maven is open. Q: I could use assistance with a current project, but I don't need long-term help. What are my options?A: Admin Maven offers both long- and short-term assistance. In addition, certain common projects are available as fixed-price packages. This is known as Admin Maven's Project-in-a-Box. See Services and Rates for additional short-term project details. Q: Besides those services I purchase, what else can Admin Maven do for me? A: Admin Maven can help you keep up with the latest writing- and small business-related news. Updated at least weekly, Admin Maven's Writer Resource and Small Business Resource Web pages are packed with useful, timely news and informational links. For those with a fascination with the English language, Admin Maven also publishes Word-wise. This complimentary e-zine is available online--or have each new issue delivered directly to your e-mail address by using the form at left. Won't the time difference cause a problem? A: Since the majority of East and West Coast standard business hours overlap, you may find no time conflict at all. In fact, some people prefer to work with VAs in earlier time zones, knowing that they can open their e-mail inboxes first thing in the morning and find it already full of completed tasks! Q: If the work I need done is not on the service menu, does that mean it isn't offered? A: It may be offered. The services listed on the menu are simply the most frequently requested tasks that Admin Maven offers. Admin Maven is committed to helping all clients meet their needs! If you have a task in mind that does not appear on the menu, contact Admin Maven for more information. If it turns out that the task you need is not offered, Admin Maven will refer you to a Virtual Assistant with the expertise you seek, free of charge. Q: My information has changed since I last contacted Admin Maven. What should I do? A: Please complete and return a new Client Information Form. Q: I understand Admin Maven is a solo enterprise. So what happens to my work during illness, vacation, etc? A: Here is how Admin Maven schedules client work:
Q: I need assistance on short notice. Can Admin Maven help? A: Admin Maven does not accept Project assignments given with fewer than 24 hours' notice. However, Admin Maven can often accept rush work, defined as that given with 24-48 hours' notice, not including weekends or holidays.
Q: What are Admin Maven's billing terms? A: Project clients are required to prepay 50% upfront with the remaining 50% payable within 15 days of invoice date. Retainer clients prepay the entire month's hours at a discounted rate. Time beyond contract hours is billed at completion of assignment at project rate, payable within 15 days of invoice date. For all clients, balances due carried over into the next billing cycle will incur a 1.5%/month late fee. |
